How to Design Your Own Header on Blogger

Goal for today: Design my own header.

Before:




I directly edited the html to replace the code for the header background.


 
Black line with red dots is covering the old gradient image. I replaced that with my own image url , clicked preview (just to double check), then BAM! done, saved.



After:



That's better! Note that the header image is as long as my blog. Since I decreased the margins of my blog, I figured that the best way to get rid of my header background margins was to edit the html.
